Community and Giving

Giving is fundamental to Klemmer and Associates. Brian Klemmer taught us that contribution is one of the highest values to a Compassionate Samurai. Our mission statement is, "To create bold ethical leaders, who will create a world that works for everybody with no one left out, "We believe the partnerships we have created with the following organizations are a step toward realizing our mission. Please take a moment to learn about these worthwhile organizations.

Million Dollar Mustard Seed Scholarship Fund

Over the years we've seen that the leaders that will "create a world that works for everybody with no one left out" come from all walks of life. The Million Dollar Mustard Seed Scholarship Fund has been created to provide people who can demonstrate financial need, and a strong desire for personal growth, financial assistance to attend our workshops. In our seminars they will continue to develop their personal leadership goals, and develop skills to make a bigger positive impact on the world.

The Million Dollar Mustard Seed Foundation is built upon the premise that a small seed of generosity can grow to a huge tree and provide for many people!

We urge you to take the Million Dollar Mustard Seed Challenge; here's how you do it: Make a small contribution to the fund and perform a random act of kindness in your community that you wouldn't have otherwise performed. Share what you have done on Facebook, Twitter, etc. and challenge at least 3 friends to do the same. As this continues, these small acts will add up to make a huge difference! To make your contribution, or if you would like to apply for financial aid from the foundation, so that you can attend a future Klemmer event, click here. Click here.

Tariq Khamisa Foundation (TKF)

Tariq Khamisa Foundation (TKF)

When Azim Khamisa's son, Tariq, was murdered by a fourteen-year-old gang member, Azim knew he had a tremendous opportunity to embrace the power of forgiveness. Instead of falling into resentment and revenge, Azim chose to forgive and joined forces with the guardian of his son's murderer to form the Tariq Khamisa Foundation. With the mission of ending violence among youth, the Foundation travels to schools all over the country to teach children about gang violence and how they can promote peace in the world. Klemmer and Associates and our graduates sponsor this cause - over $500,000 a year.

Azim Khamisa is a sought after key-note speaker and has appeared on many major television stations. His message of forgiveness has resulted in meetings with several U.S. presidents, the Dalai Lama, and the Pope. Azim Khamisa is a regular speaker at the Klemmer and Associates Heart of the Samurai course in San Diego, California.

St. Vincent De Paul

St. Vincent De Paul

St. Vincent De Paul and the homeless is a cause that Klemmer & Associates supports with time, money and labor. Father Joe is an extraordinary individual who has devoted much of his adult life to helping the homeless. He has built a huge center and village housing over 1,000 individuals and serving 1.2 million meals annually in San Diego that support homeless people who want to be helped and are willing to put forth an effort. He is a true Compassionate Samurai.

At every one of our Heart of the Samurai events the work of Father Joe and St. Vincent De Paul are highlited and funds are raised to help the homeless in San Diego.

Klemmer and Associates Prison Program

The Prison Program is a two to three day event that is a tailored Personal Mastery Seminar for incarcerated men and women. The purpose of this training is to help prison inmates develop tools so that they may function safely and healthily within their prison culture. The training also seeks to help them develop skills that will allow them to re-enter the world and reclaim their lives in a lasting way. Our goal is to decrease the number of inmates that continue to return to the prison system after they are released. Klemmer and Associates began working in partnership for this project with Nancy Ferguson at Fresh Start Ministries in 2007. Unfortunately the world lost a great Compassionate Samurai, whom we fondly remember, when Nancy Ferguson passed away in 2012. This program is only made possible by graduate donations and support. If you are someone, or you know someone with connections within a prison system, and would like to bring K&A in to run this program; please contact the Klemmer and Associates office at 800.577.5447

The Prison Program took place twice in Snohomish County Jail in Washington state with the support of Nancy Ferguson. We thank her, and Fresh Start Ministries, for affording us the opportunity to make a difference for inmates of Snohomish County Jail. The trainings received incredible responses from inmates, staff and officials. If you would like to learn more about how you can support the Prison Program, please call the Klemmer and Associates office at 800.577.5447
